Split Line

Nov 2 2007 - Half of the J105s that competed in 2007 J105
North Americans still made for an impressive line. Imagine
if they had let them all start on the same line. Almost 70
boats and serious breeze gave the 105s a memorable NAs at
Annapolis Yacht Club. Masquerade was the winner for the
second year in a row.

Dinghy Fever

Oct 19 2007 - The 505ers were loving life with 15 knots
gusting to 20 after a week of slowly building breeze during
their NAs on the Chesapeake. These sailors are hardcore on
the water and just as active on land. Their NAs included
bike rides and daily debriefing sessions complete with
Kattack
race tracking.

photos of these cool dinghies in action. More about the
505 class. |
Tight pack

Oct 13 2007 - It was one-design competition at its best in
today's Etchells Long Island Sound Champs in Greenwich. The
weekend's weather was absolutely perfect for capturing these
good-looking boats in action.

Planing in under 10

Oct 7 2007 - These high performance dinghies off AYC spent

Honey, you're pinching

Aug 26 2007 - Jeff and Amy on their way to victory in the
Flying Scot Wife-Husband Championship regatta at Cedar Point

and One Designs
here. |

Doldrums plus 10
 |
|
August 8 2007 - The 40-boat Wednesday night racing fleet in
Westport welcomed some breeze tonight. The 10-15 knot
Westerly, though dying, was a big improvement over July's
doldrums. With steady wind and nice light, these boats
looked great.

| Heavy Seabreeze for Newport
Regatta |

July 15 2007 - A dinghy in a trough
provides an interesting perspective. The seas made for some
dramatic photos off the coast of Newport today.
See
more. Although the waves were tossing the
keelboats around like dinghies, I only had to pluck one MOB
out of the water... |
